Adele Clara Mohr, 84, of 3129 Hillcrest and formerly of 10620 Breiner Drive, Dubuque, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2012 at Luther Manor. Services will be at 12 noon Monday, March 19, 2012 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 1780 White Street. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, at a later date. Friends may call from 3 till 6 p.m. Sunday, March 18th, at Hoffmann-Schneider Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1640 Main St., and on Monday, March 19th from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at St. Matthew Lutheran Church. Adele was born July 29, 1927 in Kieler, Wisc., daughter of John and Josepha (Shaefer) Droessler. She married Wilford Virtus Mohr on Sept. 4, 1946 in Platteville, Wisc. He preceded her in death on Dec. 16, 2011. She was employed at the Dubuque Battery Factory, the Dubuque Packing Company and at The Finley Hospital. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels for 15 years. Surviving are her daughter, Donna Kimball, of Independence, Kentucky; three sons, Douglas Mohr, of Brainerd, Minn., David Mohr, of Dubuque, and Chief Master Sergeant Daniel (Ronda) Mohr, of Oklahoma City, OK.; grandchildren, Stacie (Ryan) Stepanek, Joshua Mohr, Jennifer Mohr, Katrina Kimball, Taylor Mohr, and Kyla Mohr; four great grandchildren, Maya Stepanek, Abigail Wright, Skyler Wright and Liam Breitkreutz; two brothers, Justin (Agnes) Droessler, of Dubuque and John ‘Jackie’ (Pauline) Droessler, of Dickeyville, Wisc; two sisters, Eileen (Carl) Roddick, of Cuba City, Wisc., and Doris (Dave) Nabor, of Dubuque; three sisters -in-law, Velma Droessler, of Lancaster, Wisc., Geneva Droessler, of Dubuque, and Lorraine Kuhl, of Bellevue; and a sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and Ervin Huebner, of LeClair, Iowa. She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Roman, Laverne ‘Bud’ and Artwin ‘Art’ Droessler and two sisters-in-law, Eula Droessler, and Marion Droessler. The family wishes to thank the staff of Hospice of Dubuque and Luther Manor for the wonderful care extended to Adele.
